Proposals for new homes and green space south of Thurcaston
Parker Strategic Land is preparing an outline planning application for up to 525 homes and a care home on land north of the A46.
Around 45% of the site, equivalent to 17 football pitches, will be provided as publicly accessible open space for both new and existing residents. This includes a village green, a community orchard, allotments, children’s play areas, wildflower meadows and a network of walking and cycling routes linking to the existing public rights of way.
The plans also include a new street between Anstey Lane and Ashton Green Road, which could offer an alternative route for drivers and help reduce pressure on the village centre.

The land has been identified for housing in Leicester City Council’s newly adopted Local Plan. Before we finalise our proposals and submit the application, we would like local people to look at the plans and help shape them.
